This paper examines the activities of the Ladies Auxiliary of Warren Commandery No. 63, Knights Templar (Warren, Pennsylvania) during the period from 1949 to 1962. The study is based on the minute books of the Ladies Auxiliary of Warren Commandery No. 63, preserved in the Archive of Cherkas Global University (Houston, USA). The author concludes that between 1949 and 1962 the Ladies Auxiliary of Warren Commandery No. 63 evolved into an independent charitable and social institution that played an important role in the life of the American Knights Templar. The organization combined charitable work, public service, support for members of the Commandery and their families, and the organization of cultural and social activities. Its records demonstrate the growing importance of women's voluntary organizations in postwar American civil society and their close integration into the Masonic community. The findings further demonstrate that the history of the American Knights Templar cannot be comprehensively understood without taking into account the activities and contributions of their women's auxiliary organizations.
