Features of satirical graphics in the socio-political press of Ukrainian governorates of Southwest region during the First World War are considered in the article. The themes and objectives of the caricatures as a kind reflection of the general of public and political discourse in the Russian Empire are found. The basic informationpsychological techniques that were used for propaganda stereotypes and anti-German ideas are shown. The role of caricatures in shaping of public opinion of local people is clarified.
