Parish documentation about the marriage-estate peculiarities of the Ukrainian population in the first half of the 19th century (on the example of the village of Mykolaivka, Romensky uyezd, Poltava province)

In   an   article   on   the   materials   of   the   register,   church   searches   and   confessionals in  the village of Mykolaivka, Romensky uyezd, Poltava province in  the  first  half  of  the  19th  century  marriage-estate  registration  features  of  the  population  have  been  analyzed.  Church  documentation  allowed  us  to  show  changes  in  the  social  stratification  of  the  rural  community  over  a  century of history, list the main social strata in different eras, to strengthen the historical and comparative analysis of quantitative indicators indicated in the table, compare with the class differences of the Poltava region; explain the  peculiarities  of  records  by  the  registrars  of  individual  social  groups;  point  out  possible  advantages  and  disadvantages  in  the  designation  of  the  estate categorical apparatus; explain individual gender and class differences; specify  examples  by  matrimonial  unions;  pay  attention  to  the  presence  of  certain  social  groups;  highlight  special  cases  of  interestate  mobility,  the  possible mobilization of families, the evolution of the nobility, and etc.
